From research into other music videos we realised that our cutting rate wants to be about one to five seconds. Through audience research i found that tend to get bored if it goes on for much longer than that.
Also our song is reasonable fast paced so having shots longer than that would seem unprofessional and out of beat.
Keeping cuts in beat with the music is vital to a music video and if got wrong, looks really obscure and uncomfortable. A song that does both of these thing really well is a song by One Night Only - Say You Don't Want It :

An Analysis of our Music Video
This is our version of Rick Ashley's "Never Gonna Give You Up"
I think over all our version of rick Ashley’s Never Gonna give you up was a success. We achieved most of the camera angles which were in the original as well as getting the costumes quite close. The mise en scene wasn’t as good as we hoped as we had a limited time and area to film it. The lip syncing was really off at the end of the video as I did not know the lyrics. Everything was a bit of a rush but I think it was quite good for a practice and has really prepared us for our real coursework
